Aquarium

One of my greatest investments last year was to buy a family pass to the new aquarium in Draper.

The annual pass cost about the same as daily admission for our family to go twice. Since last April, we've gone about twenty times or more and the kids still love it just as much every time. It helps that they continue to add new exhibits and fun things to do.

We went yesterday morning for the grand opening of the new caiman exhibit. My kids have been anticipating this for a while and were very excited about it.

Basilisk Lizard.
We've seen him run across the water,
but I haven't been able to catch it on camera.

In front of the tank of giant fish.
Not excited about a posed picture.

Sam hanging out in the shark tank tunnel.

Whitney and Michael watching a diver feed the fish.

Crossing the rope bridge.

Tuki's Island Play & Party Center.
One of the best new additions inside the aquarium.
We spend about an hour here each time we go.

Michael and Sam challenging each other on the rings.

Ready for a new 4D movie.

We found out a few weeks ago that the play center and movies are now free and unlimited for members. Even though we've gone a lot over the past year, I think I'll be renewing our pass in a couple months. It's paid for itself ten times over, so until the kids get sick of it, we'll continue to go.

Happy New Year!

I've been thinking about it for a while and I've decided to start a blog. Having now written that, it seems pretty redundant to say since you, as a reader, are already here looking at this blog that I just told you I've created. I'm still not exactly sure why and I don't really know just yet what it will include, but you can be certain it will be very serious stuff. I guess, like all bloggers, I just wanted my own space to share stuff with the world... or at least with the four or five of you who are actually reading this. And since it's the beginning of a new year, I figured now would be a good time to start. So buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Oh yeah, and happy birthday to my little brother, Nick.
